Rick and Morty “Realistic” to face Final Fantasy VII

Rick and Morty They shared their take on several major video game franchises with the latest episode of Season 6, and one of them just so happened to be a “realistic” version of the widely popular game. Final Fantasy VII! The Adult Swim animated series is no stranger to pop culture parodies, as not only have previous seasons picked up on notable franchises, but the new season has already taken snapshots in the likes of Die Hard, Justice League Zack Snyder, and even discover Warner Bros. well. With the last episode spending more time with a “realistic” video game console, this has led to some weird new shows being dropped on popular titles.

Along with the funny new version of Street Fighter teased during the promotional material leading up to the premiere of the new episode, Rick and Morty Episode 3 of Season 6 debuted in a fun new take Final Fantasy VII. With the realism on their console turned up and each of the games on it changed, it turns out that Cloud’s sword would be too heavy for him to actually swing in combat. The Season 6 episode, “Bethic Twinstinct,” may have been described as one of the series’ weirdest episodes yet according to fans, but Rick, Morty, and Summer did their best to get away from it all by completely jumping into their new play. Control unit. Presented to them as a gift from Space Beth, the console features an infinite number of games that they have been able to play as realistically as possible. This ranged again takes on asteroids (which witnessed one ship drifting in space and losing fuel) to the aforementioned Street Fighter, Even a little Final Fantasy.

Although the series has indulged in video games like this in the past, this is the first time that it has been so much involved in the actual plot of an episode. The series didn’t really take the video game world out Roy: Good life (or promotional teams like God of War Raganarok), and these kinds of parodies show what kind of potential there can be with a full game loop. At least, it’s a fun nod to the popular sitcoms.
